Coastal Vows

Sixty of their favorite people, a cliff above the Pacific, and a promise that nothing would feel fussy. That was the whole brief, and it was a good one.

We built the weekend around the coastline: a welcome bonfire with local wines, a ceremony timed to the best light of the afternoon, and one long table dressed in linen, eucalyptus, and unpolished silver.

Shuttles on winding roads, weather contingencies, a private chef's five-course menu — all handled quietly, so the couple got to simply be there.
